We all know that what Macbeth done was horrible but at the end of the day there nothing that be done about it. I know that Macbeth didn't want to kill King Duncan and kill Macduff family but the influence of his wife allowed him to do it. He truly regrets what he has done.
The audience i think feel sorry for Macbeth as his mind is in turmoil and the quote that backs up the point is “Full of scorpion in his mind” this shows his mind is in turmoil. The word Scorpion shows an effect something that's not positive. It creates a sympathetic moment.
In the play Lady Macbeth questions Macbeth's Manhood and the quote that show this is “ Are you a man” Macbeth didn't want to disagree with her because he knew that he was a man and would take any challenge and the challenge was to kill King Duncan.
After Macbeth had killed King Duncan he felt guilty for what he done because of his bloody hand. Because he was to afraid to put the dagger back to where the guard were Lady Macbeth had a duty to do so. After Lady Macbeth had came back she washed her bloody hands to show that Macbeth should not have nothing to worry about and that he wash his hand cleanly and freely.
After the death had happened, a few days later Lady Macbeth later kills herself because she was also going mad. Macbeth was upset about the death of Lady macbeth. The quote thats shows this “She should have died hereafter” this shows that Macbeth still has love for her even though she had pushed him to horrible things. He still loved her.
In my opinion, we feel sorry for Macbeth because after he kills Banquo he has a vision of him sitting in his chair and that made him turn crazy.‘Which of you have done this?’
Macbeth thinks that Banquo is alive and every can see him but it’s only Macbeth who is hallucinating about Banquo’s ghost.
We feel sorry for Macbeth because he hallucinates about Duncan.‘Is this a dagger which I see before me?’
Macbeth starts hallucinating after he kills Duncan. He feels guilty about what he done. This is sympathetic because Macbeth didn’t want to kill Duncan but he had to and now his life is a misery.
In conclusion, i think we should overall be sorry for Macbeth and he was forced in doing things he didn't want to do and the people around him also influenced him to do the things he done , such as the witches and Lady Macbeth. He wouldn't have never went crazy if he didn't do it and he will never had have vision.
